Alex's Thinning Hair Story

I started to notice my hair thinning at 18 years old, and for the next 10 years, I searched for a medical solution. I tried countless shampoos and treatments for thinning hair, visited doctors and specialists, but found no answers. At one point, a dermatologist even prescribed me medication with the possibility of hair growth as a side effect; however, it was meant to lower my heart rate. I didn't want to risk taking something that might give me a little more hair but could also potentially affect my heart.

I know my female pattern hair loss is genetic, as I've noticed my aunt's thin hair as well, but mine started very young and progressed more aggressively. It reached a point where I was no longer comfortable being in public with my natural hair, which prompted me to search for a different solution. I turned to Google to find alternatives to medical treatments, deciding to look for something in the beauty/cosmetic route. That's how I discovered Lucinda Ellery.

I was surprised I hadn't heard about them sooner, especially living in LA and being the perfect candidate. I went in for a consultation and thought it was almost too good to be true. I wanted something that felt like me and did not require putting something on or off each day. We discussed sizes, hairstyles, and colors, a conversation I never imagined myself having.

Having a mesh-integrated system has truly changed my life. It has increased my confidence and allows me to live day to day without constantly worrying about what my hair looks like. When I first got the system, I wanted to stop everyone and tell them about it, but hair loss is such a personal thing.

I wish everyone experiencing something similar knew about this because it's genuinely life-changing. When I look back at photos of myself at 16, I feel like me again - thick hair, bangs, and all. Now, I can simply live my life without thinking about my hair, because I finally look like myself.
