I am 24 years old and I grew up in Southern California.
Hair has always been important to me but I have had trichotillomania for over 10 years and I felt that I needed something to help me remind myself of when I am pulling. I found Lucinda Ellery on a Google Search and decided to come into the New York office since that is where I was living and going to school.
I knew I'd be graduating soon and going on job interviews and did not want to have to wear a hat or beanie or scarf to try to hide my hair.
I was a little apprehensive when I first came in and I didn't really think it would help. I was afraid it wouldn't look natural or like myself.
I was wrong. It was amazing from the first time they built it. And I am so much more relaxed and sure of myself. I don't even think about my hair in a negative way anymore.
